The sevenh Festival of Embassies "Food & Culture & Tourism"

Saturday, June 8th, 2024 from 8am to 8pm

Vítězné náměstí, Prague 6 Dejvice

Registration of the Ambasád Food & Culture Festival for 2024 is closed.

The Food & Culture & Tourism event is the largest international street food festival in Prague where the country presentations are primarily provided by their embassies, honorary consulates, or chambers of commerce. Ambassadors participate in the event in person. We proudly present the unique event within Czech Republic in terms of the scope and number of participating countries. Festival of Embassies is being hosted by Prague 6's Municipal District in the association with the Farmers Markets Association.

At the country displays, original traditional dishes will be prepared, made from local ingredients and spices that are less common and sometimes even unknown to us. Employees of embassies and often ambassadors themselves along with their families participate in the cooking. Some embassies will even hire famous chefs. All those efforts are behind the simple Farmers Market idea – offer enjoyment and experience by bringing quality ingredients within quality gastronomy.

On Saturday, June 8th (8am-8pm) we expect 15.000 visitors that will be offered the chance to taste an abundance of dishes, mostly very typical of the presenting countries. At the event, there will also be various drinks, ice creams, sweets, and desserts of choice, as well as small souvenirs and original craftsmanship available. To frame the experience, a rich program at the event stage will be underway all day, where local culture & music of participating countries will be presented.

The event was kicked-off again by drummers' band of BLABUBURO with African music, followed by Thai folk dances, puppet performances from Brazil 's Gilberto Conti followed by Mariachi Azteca de Praga (from Mexico). Visitors experienced, among others, a performance for India, a choir from Slovenia, folk dances from Kosovo, traditional throat singing and dancing from Mongolia, folk songs from Moldova, traditional Bosnian songs, Limbora ensemble from Slovakia, dance group Sahar Group for Palestine, K-pop dance group Monster Crew for South Korea and singer Kamila Asgarova for Azerbaijan.Simillar extensive progam will be arranged this year.

We are proud to confirm the participation of the partner cities of the City of Prague 6 – Bayreuth and Poreč. We are also pleased to present event partners: the Army of the Czech Republic and Prague Airport.

Market at Kulaťák that takes place every Saturday is open as part of the event (from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. as usual). Visitors may purchase farm produce as well as flowers, snacks and other locally made products.

Free entry is applicable for the entire area, including Technical Street.

We kindly ask you to save the environment and leave your cars at home as the number of parking lots is limited. Thank you.
